It all started with a passion for buying candles and taking pictures of them. I loved to smell how each business had captured the likeness of a fond memory, place, or movie and book character. Christmas of 2017 I decided that I wanted to make my friends candles for Christmas, and that is where my love began. For two years it was just a hobby and I would make them as gifts for friends and family or myself.

 

Then on September 18th 2019, I decided that I was going to open an Etsy shop to sell my candles. I didn't expect it to go anywhere and again, it was just a hobby that I thought maybe I could make a little money off of. And that's what it was, but little did I know that not even a year later with one candle, one customer, and one TikTok video, my little shop blew up over night.

 

Within one week we went from 25 sells to over 150. I am still getting the hang of everything and learning how to run a business while already working 2 jobs. I have failed countless times, but that pushes me to grow and learn, which molds a better business for tomorrow.
